Embossing Techniques on Pixie Powder background
Hello, today I wanted to share some embossing techniques with you. I have used the pixie powder background that I created in my last post. This piece has been sitting on my desk drying, and along with some other off cuts I had laying around, I was able to pull together a couple of really sweet cards.
Below I have put together a video, and especially for those of you who are new to papercrafting particularly heat embossing. It is a favourite technique of all the papercrafters I know. I don’t think i will ever tire of watching the magical moment when the embossing powder turns into it’s molten state.
This time of year we are concentrated on batch cardmaking, creating designs that are quick and simple to make….yet remain stylish.
Creating a co ordinating collection
As you can see there is a theme running through the cards above. Reminding you of the card I made in my last post, you will see that I have again used pixie powders and stamps.
Using a couple of different embossing techniques, these cards are so quick to assemble and are really fun to make. The focal image and colour theme can be changed up, but still allow you to create a co ordinating collection.
