Pink Monochrome Woodland Scene for IndigoBlu

Today I have created another piece for IndigoBlu and the November Monochrome challenge. I have a real weakness for nature based stamps, especially trees and in this new set Kay has given us more beautiful images to play with. Choosing pink as my colour I have created a woodland scene as the setting for the magnificent decorated Stag.

I created a background with a layer of Marshmallow acrylic paint. I mixed a small amount of copper luscious powder with super thick slap it on, and applied it through the Laurel leaf stencil, leaving it all the dry.

Using a selection of the tree stamps from the Winterland Wood A5 stamp set , the Textures stencil and Worn Lipstick distress ink i created the woodland scene.

To finish the piece I added the magnificent stage from the Winterland Wood in a dark raspberry red ink.

The rest of the team have created some fabulous pieces also, so it is well worth a visit over on the challenge blog, hope to see you there.

This is beautiful and the pink looks great for this Christmas card Claire, and thank you for explaining how you built it up. I love the way you have added the stag and cute bunnies in a darker colour as foreground images. The darker pink and black layers coordinate really well with your black stamped sentiment too. x
