Stamped Wild Flower ATC with Creative Expressions

Hi All! Thanks for joining me. As I am away from my craft room at the moment, I only have limited supplies with which to craft. I made sure I travelled with inks, ink blenders, a selection of stamps and plain cardstock. So over the next few weeks I will challenge myself to see what I can create. Today, for Creative Expressions I have made this little ATC with stamped wildflowers.

What is an ATC?

ATC = Artist Trading Card, a mini piece of artwork for artists to showcase themselves, techniques, styles etc is a small collectable format that can also be swapped.  There are no rules to creating an ATC, other than the artwork must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size.

How Make

1.Cut a 2.5 x 3.5 inch piece of coconut white foundation card by Creative Expressions.

2.Create the background using a direct to paper technique with  Gathered Twigs Distress ink. Drag the ink pad lightly over the cardstock in one direction only, to create a wood effect. Highlight the background by repeating using Spun Sugar Distress ink.

3. Select one of the flowers from the Creative Expressions WildFlower clear stamp set , and stamp using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Re ink the same stamp with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and stamp again – I have offset the image off the page because I only wanted a small amount of blue.

4. Die cut two small banners from the Justrite- A2 stitched Banners & Rectangles set. Colour each of the banners with distress ink, one with Gathered Twigs and the other with Mermaid Lagoon. Glue into position as shown.

5.  Colour two small pieces of cardstock; one with Gathered Twigs and one with Mermaid Lagoon, and when dry die cut the words from Sue Wilson’s Perspectives Happy collection. Use cosmic shimmer acrylic glue to add to the ATC.

6. Embellish the flowers with same coloured flat backed gems.
