Spring is in the Air – IndigoBlu Acrylic Paint

Hello, it’s time to introduce a challenge on the IndigoBlu Challenge Blog,

Spring is in the air

IB April 2016

I have used a 6 x 4 inch canvas board, so the finished project has a wonderful texture to it.

Before painting the canvas with the buttery smooth English Cottage acrylic paints, I stamped a few texture stamps with Memento Black ink. The great thing is that when you paint over these stamped images, they stay visible in the background (make sure the ink is properly dry before covering with paint though!).

I have used the stencil (listed below) to create a gate effect, and shadows in with a grey promarker. In the birthday card below, I included the gates again, but this time added them using tecture paste that I had tinted with the acrylic paint.

I have used the following supplies;

I have also made a birthday card, and videoed the process for you, but for some technical reason un known to me, the middle part of the video didn’t work!

I have photographed the card for you, and this time you can see how I finished off the projects with gilding wax.

Many thanks for joining me today, I do hope we see you over on the challenge blog. Hope to see you again soon,
