Cards,  IndigoBlu Challenge DT

Becca, by IndigoBlu Artcard

Hello, its time for a new challenge on the IndigoBlu Challenge blog and this month the theme is

Red is the Colour

While Kay and the rest of the IndigoBlu team are busy at the Stitches trade show at the NEC in Birmingham launching lots of fabulous products, we are over on the blog with lots and lots of inspiration for you.

Today I have used ‘Becca’ a beautiful portrait stamp as the focal point for my art card. I have stamped her onto linen textured card stock and used greys and hints of pink to colour her.

I based the whole card around the red panel at the centre of the card. It is created by using Adirondack Alcohol Inks onto glossy card and was created by my 8 year old, Stephen. He has always loved using these inks, mainly because you get to make lots of noise banging the blending tool onto the card, and over the years he has refined his technique and I can leave him alone to create now. I will even admit that he is far and away better at creating beautiful colour combinations and textures – so I promised I would make my next card around what he had made for me.

I have kept the background simple (because that seems to be my developing style) and used a couple of accent stamps from other sets.
